Career Guidance Professional Make your voice Heard!
The Institute of Careers Guidance (ICG) is spearheading a campaign to ensure the Government and other decision makers take notice of their members' concerns in the career guidance profession.
The ICG has just published a Positional Statement highlighting concerns with the quantity and quality of careers advice given within the Connexions Service. This Statement was published with the help of ICG members, who like the Institute want to establish a dialogue with CSNU to ensure the current situation is improved. Over the next year the ICG will continue to support its members and make their views heard, as well as advocating an immediate examination and evaluation of the role of Career Guidance within the Connexions Service.
The ICG is the largest and most influential professional organisation for the career guidance sector. As well as the awarding body for the Qualification in Careers Guidance, we represent the interests of our members who are drawn from all sectors of the guidance profession including Secondary, Further and Higher Education, Youth Work, Careers Service, Connexions Service, Employment Service, Private Practice and the Voluntary Sector.
