…the role
You will operate at the sharp end of a massive sales, administration and logistics network to meet our customers' needs. As the public face of British Gas, you will need to present the company's world class image at all times, through the quality of your work and the way you deal with customers and the public at large.

You will train as either a Service Engineer, carrying out rapid turnaround jobs such as annual servicing of customers' central heating systems, maintenance and upgrades, or as an Installation Engineer, working on longer duration projects where you will see the central heating installation process through from start to finish. Either way you will be field based, largely organising your own day, so you will need to be self-motivated and able to think on your feet.

Our Engineers are recognised as having the best training in the sector. You will work towards NVQ Level 3 on the latest appliances and equipment in a realistic set-up at one of our training centres, and on real jobs on customers' premises. Once qualified you will receive continuing support and guidance as you take on the full role, and opportunities for further professional and technical education throughout your career.
